Boasting more than 6 000 crocs of the Nile variety, the Crocodile Farm in Otjiwarongo is the only facility of its kind in Namibia.

Here you can indulge in a taste of croc meat – the most popular being crocodile spareribs – while you educate yourself on the life cycle of this monstrous meat-loving reptile.

The large crocodilians (that weigh up to 500 kg!) are fed at 11:00 on Saturdays. Buy a croc-skin souvenir from the gift shop, while you let the kids loose in the petting zoo (with cuddly bunnies and slow tortoises – fortunately no crocs on this part of the premises!).

Follow the signs leading from the main road.
