Now visitors and fellow Namibians alike can take part in one of the most fun sports there is in one of the most stunning places on this globe – sand-boarding down the Namib dunes at Swakopmund.
Khoi San Sand-boarding in Swakopmund offers two types of sand-boarding, namely one where you lie down on the board and another on which you stand on the board.
A specially polished hardboard is used for the lie-down activity. You can reach speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour for the maximum adrenaline buzz – all under the safe supervision of your Khoi San team.
And for those from snowy homes – you can use your snow-boarding skills to slide down some of the purest and largest dunes in the world – the Namib dunes.

“We take great pride in our experience in sandboarding and can successfully report no injuries to date”, Eben Gurirab, the owner and manager of the company said.
He explained that the name of the company reflects that it is 100% Namibian which offers the best sandboarding experience around.
