Discover Airlines has recently expanded to an exciting new flight connection to Munich!
Munich, the picturesque capital of the state of Bavaria in Germany, boasts a newly-built airport. The connection between Namibia and Munich as reciprocal holiday destinations, has been steadily growing in popularity over the last few years.
Mr. Mr. Marco Goetz, Chief Commercial Officer of Discover Airlines, hopes this new route will enhance frequent and affordable flights between the two countries, expanding options beyond the exclusive Windhoek-Frankfurt route.
The inaugural WDH-MUC flight took place on April 2, 2025, and will initially operate three times a week on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, throughout the year. Beginning in May 2025, the flight schedule will shift to Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Connected to Germany`s largest airports, Discover Airlines is commencing its fourth year of operations in the airline industry. Relatively still new, the company remains committed to integrating enhanced operational strategies in order to ensure a seamless booking and travel experience.
The first airline to resume operations once the COVID-19 pandemic lifted in Namibia, Discover Airlines(in cooperation with the Lufthansa Group), are well integrated into Namibia`s tourism and business network. These established partnerships extend to creating and maintaining social and economic responsibilities in Namibia. Discover Airlines supports local employment through Flamingo Catering, as well as the Paragon Aviation Group. Since 2021, the airline has faithfully supported a German-Namibian charity in providing meals and care to impoverished communities.
