You’ll find the Rossmund Golf Estate on the banks of the ephemeral Swakop River in the Namib Desert, a mere six kilometres from Swakopmund, Namibia’s well-known seaside resort. The estate overlooks the Rossmund Golf Course, one of only five desert golf courses in the world.

With its white limestone and natural rock features, the Rossmund Golf Lodge reflects the Mediterranean/ North African building style. Tall palm trees and deep-purple bougainvillaea complete the picture. All the lodge’s chalets, fully equipped with television and telephones, look onto the golf course and are luxuriously comfortable. Some units sleep three and have a kitchenette equipped with hob, fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery. Breakfast is served in the nearby breakfast room, with large patio doors opening onto a veranda, letting in the fresh desert breeze. Lunch and supper are also served at the Golf Club Restaurant. A shuttle service is available for transport to and from Swakopmund.

The Rossmund Golf Club offers the unique experience of playing golf in the cool Atlantic breeze, with the warm desert sun on your skin and in the company of docile springbok wandering across the fairways. Golfing on this 6 068 m par 72 fully grassed 18-hole golf course with its year-round quality fairways and slick greens is enormously rewarding. A large floodlight putting green and a driving range are available for honing one’s golfing skills.

Green fees are reasonably priced and golf cars are available. The modern change and locker rooms at Rossmund’s Club House answer to all possible requirements.

The Rossmund Golf Club Restaurant with its large outdoor deck overlooking the fairways and the 18th green is an ideal setting for a sundowner. Well-prepared meals are served seven days a week.

Reservations are essential. Rossmund also caters for conferences and functions, and boasts a fully equipped conference centre seating 50 people, as well as a spacious banqueting room.
