On 18 March, the Dome in Swakopmund will be hosting Namibia’s first ever whisky festival.

It will be a two-day event welcoming whisky enthusiasts and novices to experience what the exhibitors have to offer. The theme of the festival will be “Admirer or aspirer…how you enjoy it is up to you”. The exhibitors list includes over 20 of the world’s most sought-after whiskys to sample from. Countries including Scotland, Ireland and South Africa will be represented in the selection.

Organizers seek to showcase not only Namibia, but also Swakopmund as a tourist destination. The festival will showcase the versatility of whisky through food pairings, tastings, fusion cooking with Belgian chocolatiers and live entertainment.

Premium reserve exclusives will be offered for tasting at the festival.

Tickets are available for purchase at www.namibiawhiskyfestival.com.na

Rennies will also be offering custom event travel and incentive packages to the festival.

Great initiative. Wish I could be there. I used to live in Aberdeen and now live in the ostikurts of Paris. Here I am a member of the Clan des Grands Malts. Maybe next year.
