Earlier this year, we told you about Onjala, the story lodge, where there’s a tale of interest around every nook, tree and mountain. Here, dust never gathers on any a story, as the team keeps the business booming by frequently adding new stories.

The latest additions are a newly built stargazing observatory, and the luxury of a Bush Spa.

Says star man Heiner Soltau (pictured) – taught by the constructor of the observatory, Wolfgang Peach, himself – “stargazing is amazing, and once you get to know more about the life of the night skies it gets even more captivating!” His son, Lukai, is also very much into this activity, even sharing his knowledge with guests who seem to be interested in astronomy. The observatory boasts a fully automised dome from Poland, is equipped to take photographs, and holds the largest telescope in the amateur line of stargazing tools, of which there are currently only 30 in use worldwide.

The Bush Spa was Zelda Soltau’s vision and dream, complete with Zen garden and second therapist for couple’s massages, Wilmarie Goussard. The Bush Spa currently offers Winter Warming Specials, as well as half and full day packages. Contact Onjala for more information.
