The place to find yourself if you dream of experiencing the Kavango in its full pride and glory is Kaisosi River Lodge.
The wooden decks at the main lodge allow you to feel that you’re cruising peacefully past everyday life in the area (without the movement of course!). Families drift by in their mukoros, fishermen go about their daily tasks, a conglomeration of birds flutter about in the skies, and the odd fish take a wild leap from the running waters.
In addition to the double-storey units situated on the riverbanks, Kaisosi also offers well-equipped campsites, as well as a permanent tent – complete with solar lighting. Hosts Chris Lewis and Juandra Goosen are clued up and passionate about the area and eagerly promote the region and its friendly people.
