A Photographic journey through the northeast with Simone Micheletti

Born in Nigeria to Italian parents, Simone Micheletti spent his childhood and primary education in West Africa. He completed his university studies in Milan, Italy. After starting out as creative director in the communications and advertising industry in Italy he moved to Namibia to work in the same field, but after a few years began to invest in the tourism industry with his family. With his wife Laura he lived in Nkasa Rupara National Park for many years before moving to the Chobe-Zambezi floodplains along the Chobe River. During this time the couple welcomed three sons. The family now lives in Katima Mulilo where Laura founded a private school, which she runs. Simone is Managing Director of the Wild Waters Group, the umbrella company for four award-winning, sustainability-oriented camps and lodges  in Namibia’s Zambezi Region. Simone’s vision is to ensure that the natural and cultural environment of Wild Waters camps and lodges is ethically managed and profitably operated according to the highest possible international standards, practices and guidelines in sustainable tourism, environmental conservation and cultural heritage preservation. Photography comes naturally as a hobby when you live in this beautiful part of the world. Most of the pictures are taken with a Canon full frame camera and a 150-600 zoom lens.
