With its perennial rivers, magnificent indigenous riverine forests, expansive floodplains and reed-lined channels, Popa Falls Lodge is the ideal destination from which to explore the Bwabwatanational Park, comprised of the former Caprivi, Kwando, Buffalo and Mahango core areas.

Over 450 bird species and a wide variety of wildlife species- including elephant, hippo, water buffalo, crocodile, red lechwe, reedbuck, roan and sable antelope and the elusive sitatunga – can be viewed here.

The main view point of the ‘falls’ – a series of cascades created by a quartzite ledge that splits the river into numerous channels – is from the lodge.
