Eight years ago the historical Omaruru Bakery was derelict. Then five years ago, two local residents, Dan Craven and Chris Johnston, started to resurrect and restore the buildings, front and back.

Eventually, at the end of last year, Evening Shade opened its newly installed doors, offering upmarket self-catering accommodation in its five units, of which two are for families.

Says Chris, “This is self-catering for the discerning traveller: our units are safe, serene, quiet, and spotlessly clean.” Huge bathrooms, 100% cotton sheets, a well-equipped kitchen, and parking right at your doorstep, are all part of the package. The Shade is calling!
