Extract from the book Life on a table by Antoinette De Chavonnes Vrugt

750 g strawberries, blackberries and raspberries

30 ml castor sugar

60 ml Grand Marnier

5 ml grated orange rind

375 ml sparkling apple juice

Combine berries, sugar, liqueur and rind in a large bowl.

Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

Scoop into 4 serving glasses, pour apple juice over berries just before serving.
