Lying among the rolling, rocky hills of the vast Palmwag Concession, the area around Desert Rhino Camp is known for its tranquil, minimalist beauty, surprising wealth of arid-adapted wildlife and the largest free-roaming black rhino population in Africa.

Accommodation consists of eight raised Meru-style canvas tents with verandas taking in the sweeping views dotted with scattered euphorbia and ancient welwitschia plants, and the dramatic Etendeka Mountains. Adventurous rhino tracking activities take place daily in conjunction with Save the Rhino Trust – Wilderness Safaris and Desert Rhino Camp guests thus support this NGO in its vital work of protecting this endangered species.
